HIFU pre and post care

In order to obtain the best result from your treatment, please take note of the following after care notes for each treatment type.

To ensure your skin is prepared and your results are optimal, please follow these guidelines before your HIFU appointment:
  • Stay hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment—hydrated skin responds better.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or sunburn for at least 1 week before treatment.
  • No dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, or laser treatments in the area to be treated within 2 weeks.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) for 24 hours before your appointment, as they may interfere with your natural healing response.
After HIFU, you may experience some temporary redness, swelling, or tenderness. These are normal signs of your skin responding to the treatment. To support healing and results:
  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area for the first 24 hours.
  • Keep your skin cool and clean—avoid hot showers, saunas, or strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
  • Use gentle, hydrating skincare and avoid active ingredients for 3–5 days post-treatment.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily to protect the skin.
  • Refrain from other facial treatments (laser, microneedling, injectables) in the treated area for at least 2–4 weeks.
Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to support natural collagen production.
What are the benefit of HIFU?
This collagen regeneration helps to lift and tighten the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and sagging. It can be used on various areas of the face and body, including the face, neck, and décolletage
Is there any downtime from HIFU?
There is typically minimal downtime associated with HIFU, with most people returning to their normal activities immediately.
Who is it for?
HIFU is generally suitable for individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity, typically those aged 30 and above. It is not recommended for individuals with severe skin laxity or those with certain medical conditions.
When will i see results?
Results vary per client, but most experience skin tightening and a lifting effect that can last up to 12–18 months. Annual maintenance treatments are recommended for optimal results.
Does HIFU hurt?
Some individuals may experience slight discomfort or a tingling sensation during the procedure, but this is generally well-tolerated.
