First 24 hours post-treatment:
- DO NOT use anything on your skin for 24 hours, this includes cleansers, moisturisers, makeup and sunscreen
- Avoid sunlight as much as possible and cover up with a hat and sunglasses if you have to be outside.
- The skin will be red and warm which will resolve in a few hours to a few days depending on the strength of the treatment. The degree of redness and mild irritation will vary
- Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment
- Avoid all activIties that will cause heat in your skin, such as exercising, strenuous activity, hot showers or saunas for the first 24 hours post-treatment
After 24 hours:
- Do not use actives on the skin for 5-7 days post-treatment
- Use a gentle cleanser or face wash with tepid water to cleanse the face and gently dry the treated skin.
- Alwavs make sure that your hands are clean when touching the treated area
- Your skin may feel drier than normal. Use a gentle moisturiser with no actives.
For 3-5 days post treatment:
- do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A) Vitamin C or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare
- Use a clean makeup brush or sponge. to apply makeup to limit the potential of infection.
- Change pillow cases dally for ine first week
- Apply broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a SPF 50+ daily. A mineral-based sunscreen is highly recommended
3-4 treatments scheduled 4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results
