Facial pre and post care

In order to obtain the best result from your treatment, please take note of the following after care notes for each treatment type

 

 

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimise sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 48 hours before your facial. Sunburned or irritated skin cannot be treated effectively.
  • No Hair Removal: Avoid waxing, tweezing, or other hair removal treatments on the treatment area for at least 48 hours prior.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your facial to ensure your skin is well-hydrated.
  • Inform Your Provider: Let your practitioner know about any medications, allergies, or recent skin treatments, as these can affect your skin’s response.
  • Arrive with Clean Skin: Come to your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, lotions, or other skincare products.
  • General Health: Reschedule if you have active breakouts, cold sores, open lesions, or are unwell
  • Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks post-treatment and wear SPF 30+ daily.
  • No Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup for at least 12 hours after your treatment.
  • Hydrate: Continue to drink plenty of water and use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to support skin recovery.
  • Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild cleanser and avoid aggressive scrubbing or exfoliating for several days.
  • Don’t Touch or Pick: Avoid touching, picking, or scratching your skin to prevent irritation or infection.
  • Avoid Heat and Exercise: Refrain from saunas, hot tubs, sea swimming, and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
  • Follow Professional Advice: Adhere to any specific aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner for best results
Who is suitable for facials?
Our Facials are suitable for all skin types including even the most sensitive of skin and pregnant women (no vitamin a or lactic acid used on pregnant women).
How many treatments do you recommend?
For the most effective results we recommend a course of 6 treatments spaced evenly over 4 to 6 weeks.
Is there any downtime?
No. your skin will feel nice and hydrated. Some redness may be present but wont last for long.
